Any monkey can learn to perform tricks, marine dad. And any fool can put on a uniform and march to music - hell, even I did it.
You glorify and mourn your soldiers and veterans, but in reality they bring death and destruction all over the world.
Not in their own interest, of course; in the interest of the ones who train them, and send them to protect their money, power, oil, or whatever purpose disguised as "freedom" or "national safety". They are also victims - brainless cannon fodder.
As Einstein once said, "Heroism on command, senseless violence, and all the loathsome nonsense that goes by the name of patriotism - how passionately I hate them!".
You should too, marine dad - if you were more intelligent, or at least, less brainwashed.
