Stage 4, Grade 4, Level IV

Damn-it!!! Damn-it!!! Damn-it!!! Damn-it!!!

It’s bad enough having your kids not listen to you but now I think no one is listening. I said it here, everyone is to stop, k.

Another buddy, Tom, has cancer. damn-it!! Stage 4... the worst...
Vietnam Vet, father of 3, married 30 +/- years...
He’s not 60.
His wife calls me “Mr. Hells Angel”, his daughter calls me dad...
fuck-it!!!

He has less than 12 months.

God give me the strength to be there for him and his family.

Damn it all to hell!!!

I'm doing my best to stop. So to return the favor, I will pray for you and Tom's family.

dnr..I'm so sorry about your friend. My prayers for him will be for strength and healing, and for you, comfort and peace.

Doctors can only surmise when it comes to the amount of time that a person has left, but I still believe that God has the last word in these matters, and our lives are always in His hands.

Take care, my friend.

I know this seems lame, but I never can think of good eloquent stuff to say at times like this, so, please accept genuine and heartfelt ((((hugs)))) from here in GA, and know that I'm crying right along side you (well, from about a thousand miles away, technically, but you know what I mean!!!).
I hate to hear this - it breaks my heart for him, for you, for his family...for all of us in America, we are losing another of our Heroes....

There's nothing I can say to make it better... just know that we are here for you 24/7/365... you and all are in our prayers.

(((hugs))) again,

Momma Kat

PS ~ you may wish to check out www.ChemoAngels.com -- we adopt cancer patients, the way Soldiers Angels adopts soldiers (totally different, completely unrelated organization, btw)... the Angels provided a great amount of joy and encouragement to my husband's grandmother during her final journey. And it does a lot for the family, as well....Just a thought.

Hang in there DNR. You and Tom and his family (and one person in particular from that family) are in my thoughts and prayers. Sometimes the universe sucks and there's nothing we can do about it but be there for each other until it gets better. I might be 600 miles away but you've still got a friend in me.

Take care...

Dazd - Thanks!!

Jan - Thanks for the prayers. That is why they call what Dr’s do ‘practice’, right?

Kat - Nothing lame about it. You speak from the heart. Tear filled eyes, seen with no words, speak volumes.
I’ll look at chemoangels.com at lunch.

b matthews - Thanks B!!! Glad to know you are still out there.
